Hello!!!!

My name is Patti Mattis (Miss Patti at school). This is my third year teaching preschool at the Wagner Early Learning Center. Before this job, I was a center classroom teacher for Head Start for 10 years.

I have been married for 17 years to Troy. He works  for Randall Community Water District in Lake Andes. We have three daughters who attend school in Wagner. Holly is in 9th grade, Hannah is in 7th grade, and Hailee is in 5th grade.

 I grew up on a farm south of Wagner and attended school in Wagner. I graduated from Wagner High School in 1988 and from the University of South Dakota in 1991. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in Birth-Preschool Special Education, Middle School Language Arts and Middle School Social Sciences. I have also gotten some Masters classes under my belt and hope to continue in that direction.

My "spare time" is spent working in my gardens, going to the girls' activities, going to stock car races, boating and camping with our friends and family.  I also love cats!!!
